Nollywood Actress Mercy Aigbe Removes Her Husband's Name From Her Name

Following shocking revelations of wife battery, fights and quarrels, Nigerian actress, Mercy Aigbe has removed her husband's name from her social media page.



Actress, Mercy Aigbe has dropped her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry’s last name from her social media account.

The actress edited Gentry’s name from her Instagram handle from @mercyaigbegentry to @realmercyaigbe. She also wrote an open letter to Gentry, seeking to know the reason he wanted her dead and also accused him of being on the run. Aigbe said both herself and Gentry were to appear in court together on Monday but he was nowhere to be found.

She also posted a photo of herself in the hospital undergoing a brain scan.

She wrote: “Why will a man who claims to love you, beat you to the extent of breaking your skull… what was my crime? @asiwajulanregentry you have to tell the world what my crime was…

“People keep saying I shouldn’t talk and that I should think of our child………. but you keep threatening to kill me, why I don’t know!!!!!!….. Now that you are conniving with the police I don’t feel safe and I have to cry out…

“We were supposed to be in court this morning and you lied that you are on Admission and can’t be in court!

“Now you are on the run… trying to connive with the police so I won’t get justice!!!!!!!…… Lanre you can run but you can’t hide, you can tell all the LIES in this world but trust me at the end of it all the TRUTH will prevail and I will get Justice…….


The Edo state born actress said she has been suffering from battering in the hands of her husband for some time but things got to its limit after the recent “big fight."

Photos: "Nearly all my front teeth broke off" - Man beaten and chased out of matrimonial home by his wife and son, speaks


A 67-year-old man claims his wife of decades and their son beat and chased him away from their matrimonial home in Kanjuku village in Githunguri, Kiambi County Kenya.

Mwaniki Nding'uri also claims that his wife is plotting to forcefully acquire a 20-acre parcel of land that he inherited from his wealthy mother, who died several years ago.




His wife was suspected to have hired unknown people to destroy a large coffee plantation belong to him.
"My wife destroyed my coffee plantation to lease the productive land. We have tried to reconcile through authorities such as the chief, District Commissioner and even the County Commissioner to no avail," Mr Nding'uri said.



He claims that his wife has been beating him senseless for the past seven years, and now fears for his life. So he has decided to come out and cry for help publicly after more than seven attempts to report the assault cases to the police failed.

"My son recently kicked, punched me hard on the mouth under his mother's instructions. Nearly all my front teeth broke off. I tried filling a report at Githunguri Police Station but my attempts were frustrated," said Mr Nding'uri.



"My wife has brought in another man, who is way younger than her in our matrimonial home. They are living together. I was forced to rent a house in Githunguri after the pastor of the church that had taken me in, was transferred," he added.


Meanwhile, Githunguri OCPD, Ranson Lolmodon, had promised to hunt down and charge the suspects who destroyed Mr Nding'uri's coffee plantation.
